A couple of pieces of news...

- Former Charleston resident and producer for a who's who of local MC's CYN has been working with Grammy Award winning producer 9th Wonder and members of the Justus League.... Word is that they have several co-produced beats together and that some might even have some big time placements....

- B Rude is working on a new album featuring collaborations with "The Yetti" aka one of the hardest working live bands in the state. I had the pleasure of listening to some of the music and it is next level....

- SoundVizion will be releasing a new mixtape every month featuring their whole roster. The May edition will be out this weekend and we will have the EXCLUSIVE online link when it drops!

- Whats Good magazine will be making a reappearance shortly with their second edition. The mixtape that they always include will have quite a few real nice tracks on it from both the local Hip Hop/RnB scene and the local Rock scene. Make sure you pick it up when you see it....

Stacked Up Ent announces release date for new Cookie Head Jenkins album

Battling legal issues CookieHead Jenkins hasn't stopped creating and Stacked Up Ent announced today that his new album "Fully Prepared" will officially hit the streets Aug 8th. Charleston producer CYN teams up with Shyheim for full CD

Stacked Up Ent producer/co-ceo CYN has linked up with Wu Tang's own Shyheim yet again but this time for something a little bit bigger than expected... a full length album. Already 8-10 songs completed this project should see the light of day later this summer and you know as soon as we have a song to leak we'll be all over it. From what I've heard about the project we can expect some Dub Vee guest appearances and a national release.

Charleston's CITY - Conspiracy Musik Mixtape Download

One of the most anticipated projects in Charleston this year without a doubt. Stacked Up Ent dropped this CD in the streets and it has been nothing but positive feedback from everybody! Featuring guest shots from Shyheim from the Wu Tang family, DOCeasar, D Nasty aka Devin from the 'Ville, Ndakut, Blkcat of Stupyd Fresh and more along with some great production from CYN and 95 the CD has a lot to live up to.

The first leaked track off of Stacked Up Ent artist City's upcoming mixtape "Conspiracy Music" featuring Wu Tang affiliate Shyheim. City was featured heavily on the Stacked Up mixtape "Open for Business" and is buzzing heavily right now in Charleston and from the few tracks I've been sent the mixtape is sounding like it's going to be something the streets are going to love. Wu affiliate and Bottom Up Records CEO Shyheim featuring two Dub Vee artists signed to his imprint through Koch Records. Charlestons J Illa and Rodo both were featured on a couple of tracks on his last release this being one of them. Cyn blessed several beats for Shy and is lined up to produce a very significant chunk of his next solo project. Both Illa and Rodo are currently serving time in the Federal Correctional System with Rodo due to be home in about a year and a half and Illa serving about 2 1/2 more. Rumor has it that a Rodo mixtape will be hitting the streets soon courtesy of CYN.

Off of the CYNstrumentals 2 CD that we posted up last month. Here it is without any drops in it, this was my personal favorite SONG on the CD. City is fresh off doing a bid and is in the studio with some of Dub Vee's top producers knocking out crazy joints. Get ready to hear alot from him in '09. S Fields has moved to Philly and is still making some really good music look for him to drop an album this coming year too featuring production from several WV producers.

A joint from the vault featuring Darc of C.O.N.G.O ft J Illa and Rodo (who are both currently doing some Fed time in Kentucky) Justin Williams and Voice P produced by CYN. Both J Illa and Rodo were picked up by Wu Tang affiliate Shyheim for his Bottom Up label and had the streets going crazy in Charleston before their re-entry into the system.
