Dante vs Ryan Haynes ....

So the Dub Vee hip hop scene is abuzz with Clarksburg's own Dante having problems with Ryan Haynes aka The Unknownz and his business practices.... his Interscope "connections" and the "Mountain State Mindstate" project that does or does not exist. Here is one thing that Dante himself wrote....

the dude known as THE UNKNOWNZ R.H......has lied to me to the extent of warranting TOTAL severance of ties between us two.

I had recorded with him several times and has come to respect the dude and, like MANY of you, I gave him the benefit of the doubt regarding his "industry connections, light promises, and relayed messages". Like MANY of you, i WANTED to believe the things he says. BUUUUT...Im no fool. And in taking me for one....he blew his mascarade. Fascade rather....

So....he calls me the other morning to tell me that he recieved a call from his "interscope connect"...and that they wanted to "move foward with me asap"...and alllllll they needed was for me to be ascap & ase registered...a supposedly $43 fee, which R.H. offers to pay for and register me himself, if i can pay him back. So, of course, i say YES! and he gets paid back within hours. HOWEVER...in the process, i was informed that to register with ascap is only $25 and CANNOT BE DONE without a SS# ! PERIOD! So, concerned about the inconsistancy, i contacted R.H. with questions. His response ? ....."i had to call a special phone # and get you a temporary registration undr interscopes company i.d. # ....you are under interscopes ascap. And your reg. # will be generated in 24 hours "

OF COURSE I WANNA BELIEVE THIS ....but once i saw ON ASCAP 'S WEBSITE that....1...an artist HAS to submit his/her SS# (R.H. didnt ask for mine)...2...its ONLY $25 for LIFETIME registration (R.H. said theres additional $18 to register wit ase?) ....3....theres NO MENTION of "temporary" registration. Sooooo.... i CALL ASCAP. ....

.........THEY SAID .....1.........they NEVER heard of/ dont have conjunctional registration wit ASE (or AES for that matter).....2...there IS NOT a structure in ASCAP registration that involves using a rec labels "i.d.#".....3....it IS IN NO WAY POSSIBLE to register without using your SS#.....4....after checking database, I HAVE NOT BEEN REGISTERED with ASCAP in any way, shape or form.....5....THEY SAID IT SOUNDS LIKE BS!

So, at the point of losing all faith in this IMPOSTER ...I called an Interscope office with a few questions. Specifically...a MAJOR A+R (found lady gaga )....the office of Martin Kierszenbaum. (3108651000). I asked...if theyd heard of a MOUNTAIN-STATE MINDSTATE project or any project from wv...they said "NO, nothing that we can see." (HOWEVER, THEY DID SAY THAT ITS NOT POSSIBLE TO EVER KNOW FOR SURE UNTIL THE PERSON SAYS WHO THEIR A&R REP CONNECT IS.....THEN YOU SIMPLY CALL THEIR OFFICE) I asked...if its reasonable to believe that an artist can recieve a 5 digit payout for a single song on a mixtape....he chuckled and said "An unsigned and unknown rap artist? Never seen it". I asked about the ASCAP shit....he said "Sounds like babble, we dont operate like that. And we wouldnt ask YOU to pay any necessary registration fees if we wanted to work with you". THE DISCUSSION ENDS WITH HIM SAYING I SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS PERSON and that it "SOUNDS FISHY".

ALSO R.H. tells me he can get me 1000 cds (covers/barcode/case etc) FOR $300....bc of a "connection" . THEN- when push came to shove...HIS BEST OFFER WAS 900 cds for $1000! wtf?

HE thinks we are all dumb. He tells us what we wanna hear. Lemme ask yall....HAS ANYONE RECIEVED A CHECK FROM INTERSCOPE YET? ANYONE ACTUALLY TALK TO AN A+R FROM INTERSCOPE OR ANYWHERE? ANYONE EVER SEE ANY PROOF ABOYT THE WV MIXTAPE PROJECT? ANYONE EVER REEEEAAALLY BENEFITTED FROM HIS "INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS" ....NO! HES ALL TALK---CON MAN ---COMPULSIVE LIAR--- WHATEVER . 92% Of what he says is bs. WHERES PROOF OF THE CONTRARY? THERE IS NONE ! AT BEST....HES AN EXTREME EXXAGERATOR! Not to mention a swindler for FAKING MY ASCAP REGISTRATION FOR A PETTY 40 bucks. LISTEN---he uses his "out of town-ness" and stories to prey on our hopes and ambitions. Placing faith in what he says will only hold us back from REAL opportunities. I WISH I WAS WRONG! WE ALL DO! BUT WHERES THE PROOF OF ANYTHING INTERSCOPE ? NOWHERE!!! Honestly, im surprised he hasnt had a cousin in cali call us faking to be at INTERSCOPE ----like i said, Im smarter than you. SIR. Im no hillbilly....ya wack ass shananegans are not a match for what ive been thru in life. Frankly, youve insulted my intelligence....SIR

I dunno if its jus for popularity, accptance, if ur a nark, if ur stealing then selling rhymz, or if its jus a big game to you....but

At the end of the day....HE IS JUST A SOUND ENGINEER (perhaps a good one) TRYING...no, wait...LYING FOR SUM ODD REASON(S)....

Honestly, if he wulda jus fessed up to me about shit, i wulda laughed with him and try to lear bout sum mo finan. beneficial cons. Fuk it....but he strait lied to my face, atleast twice that i can prove. Plus i dnt c no fruits of his "connections" helping any of yall..........if he jus claimed to be a sound engineer, evrythng would be cool....but this mirage?.... I cant reapect such things
